Welcome to BeerWriters.com

We hope BeerWriters.com will become a sort of central "clearing house" for people who read about beer to find people who write about beer.
We are just getting started and have lot's of things to do yet so please be a gentle with us.
We have a "Suggest a Site" form where you can suggest beer related RSS feeds to be included. We have to check the sites in question because anybody who has run a web site for more than 15 minutes knows the spam problem out there.
There is also a small forum section for your use if you want. Mostly we hope to be a "Go Between" as I said.

Welcome

    An Ode to Ninkasi
    Tuesday, May 21, 2013 - 11:28

It would be fun to see them side-by-side. Tangentially, one of the first known written records of beer is an ode to Ninkasi (it even contains a recipe for...

The company's Alltech Bourbon Barrel Ale has become the biggest-selling craft beer in Ohio, according to its distributor, Lyons said.

His existing brewery can produce as much as 30,000 barrels a year, but with the expansion, capacity could nearly double, Lyons said.

He predicted that within five or six years, Alltech could become the fifth-largest craft brewer in the United States.

After an exciting and exhausting day of shooting, it was time to sit back and enjoy a good beer. (So there you nosey hoplophobes.) I broke out an old bottle of Ommegang Ommegeddon Funkhouse Ale. See, in these times when people are questioning all manner of stuff that is foisted upon the fan of good beer, one get's a little internally chippy. So, when I read the beginning of this NYT article by Clay Risen just now I stopped and then stopped myself:

For years, the American beer world has been in love with saisons: dry, fruity ales traditionally made by Belgian farmers in winter, then set aside for quenching thirst during hot summer days in the fields. But while most craft breweries have a saison beer in their rotation, and some even specialize in the style, it has yet to catch on with the general, I.P.A.-swilling public....
